The original Shaker movement was formed in 1774 on the eastern coast of America. The Shaker craftsmen believed that the quality of their work was a testament to their lives. The period between 1820 and 1850 was the Shakers golden age of design when their furniture was noted for its exquisite workmanship and well-balanced form. Joints were delicately made, and the handling of wood reached perfection.
Our methods of construction follow those practiced by yesterday?s cabinetmakers. Emphasis is placed on the use of wooden joints rather than steel fasteners. The Shaker Range is a truly timeless design.
